"Guzzis are go!" happening August 21st 2011

This news came to be here here in true Fraternity style in a roundabout, forwarded to someone who forwarded it further to someone who posted it here. Originally from Jason, heres what he says:

Hello everyone

The sun is shining, the air is cool and bugger it we haven't got together
for a Guzzi run for far too long
So how about Sunday 21 August 2011?

Where to go? We we did this run in November 2008 and it was a good one:

Meet at the Gordonvale Servo at 9am for a 9:15am leave. (Ed : Am assuming its the one at the Gillies Highway intersection and not the new one next to MacDonalds).  If you are running a
bit late no dramas as there will be plenty of chance to catch up.
Route to be:

*       Gordonvale
*       Etty Bay - short stop
*       Kurramine Beach, King Reef Hotel - stop
*       Mena Creek Pub via Silkwood - lunch
*       Fuel at Wangatti if required (just past the turn off to head to the
Palmerstone)
*       Palmerstone Range
*       Peeramon Pub - chance to regroup
*       Gillies, Mountain view? home

Sounds like a pub crawl but not the intent, basically only places open on a
Sunday and well spaced as a chance to re-group.

Open to any suggestions on route and date though - please do so by emailing
reply all. (Ed: or making a comment on this post which Jason will miraculously receive...)

If you know of any other Guzzi, Ducati bevel/pantah or Laverda riders out
there please ask them along. (Ed: let em all come, as long as they appreciate guzzis and can keep up)

Cheers

Jason

Ed: Kev Dunshea told me about the last "Guzzi's are Go!" ride he went on and tells me it was a great day and that it was pretty impressive seeing 17 or so Guzzis lined up in front of the Kurramine pub and later at the Mountain View.

Great opportunity to get some Guzzista together and see if we cant get the Fraternity thing happening with maybe some more regular rides to come. Heres some pics from last time:

  1. Dunno where all these people are now.... Have sent emails to as many people as could be found (about 26) but only 6 or so replied. Hopefully more will turn up on the day. Kurramine Hotel reckon they'll be open again after their Yasi rebuild... Should be a good one...
